Custom fit golf clubs allow you to get the most out of your golf swing. You will get an extra 20-30 yards with greater accuracy from your swing when you use clubs that are fit for you. Surprisingly, quality-built clubs are not expensive and may be just what you need to lower you scores and allow you to enjoy golf to its fullest.
At Morningstar Golf Club, Steve Seibel, who is a PGA Golf Professional with nearly 40 years of experience teaching and coaching golf, will use our indoor golf simulator to help discern and measure the important information about your golf swing.
Measurements of your swing path, clubface angle and contact point at impact will be determined. Your swing speed will be measured. Your golf swing mechanics will also be evaluated. These variables will provide the information necessary to fit you with the proper golf clubs. Your grip size, shaft length and flex, clubhead weight all are important factors in a good fit. These are all determined when you undergo a proper swing analysis for a custom club fitting.
Steve’s philosophy on club fitting is to remediate swing flaws first, and then fit to the correction. Some club fitters will fit to “fix the flaw” concept which although may sound great, it does not enhance the swing. Steve will not fit clubs for a bad swing because a bad swing will never produce the shots you want in the long term and will only cause frustration trying to use poor swing dynamics. Swing correction will be a big part of the fitting session if necessary.
Swing analysis can be scheduled at your convenience just like a lesson is scheduled. Normally an hour is required. The analysis is $40.00 and will be considered as part of the payment towards a new custom club. There is also a guarantee that if your custom club is not the right fit, and does not help improve your game, we will refund the cost of the club.
